Batteries are disconnected, or a wiring fault exists.
SlideSmart operators ship with a wire disconnected to prevent battery drain. Replaced by Alert 28 in firmware versions h5.57 & above.
- Ensure red wire in upper left corner of control box is connected to switch.
- Correct any issues with battery wiring.
- Check 35-amp fuse on circuit board.
If no issues with battery wiring are found and you do not have a blown 35 A fuse, the SMART DC Controller is most likely declaring ERR 9 when battery voltage measured is lower than expected. The SMART DC Controller recognizes the batteries as disconnected when battery voltage recorded under load is too low. This is an indication that the 12 V, 8 AH, AGM batteries within the operator need to be replaced. The part number for the 8 AH Replacement Battery Kit is MX002008.
In firmware versions h5.56 & lower, the SMART DC Controller runs solely on DC power, where in newer and current firmware, the SMART DC Controller will continue to run on AC power even if the batteries are dead or missing. Alert 28 (Disconnected Battery) replaces Error 9 (Battery Disconnected) unless the operator is solar-powered.
