Replacement Part: Proximity Switch (part number: A2004)
Tools: Heat gun or medium sized drill bit and electric drill, 3/16 hex key, wire strippers, 2x wire crimp connectors, Loctite adhesive compound
- Loosen strain relief nut on the back of motor housing
- Remove 6 screws on the rear housing (Use a 3/16 hex key)
- Pull the back of the housing away to expose the limit switch assembly (part diagram below for reference)
- Carefully drill out or use a heat gun to loosen the bad proximity switch. It is located in the middle of the block
- Cut wires to the bad proximity switch
- Use Loctite or another adhesive and secure the new proximity switch in place
- Rewire and use new wire crimp nuts
- Put it all back together, make sure to tighten the strain relief
